Technology is a great teaching tool when the learner does not have to jump over the barrier of learning the technology. If a student easily uses a word processor, the editing features eliminate the fears of making mistakes because they can be so easily repaired. However, when the technology becomes the enemy is when the program doesn't work in the way the user hopes it will. Then the teaching moments are lost amidst much weeping and gnashing of teeth.
